Krispy Krunchy Chicken has entered the fast food value war, undercutting bigger rivals right off the bat with a limited time $4 meal.
That’s a dollar cheaper than the value offerings from McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s.
For that price, the Louisiana-style fried chicken restaurant is giving customers either two pieces of dark meat bone-in fried chicken, or two hand-breaded white meat Cajun Tenders, Verdict Food Service reported.
Potato wedges are served on the side, and if you choose bone-in chicken, you can get drumsticks, thighs or full wings that are seasoned with a mild Cajun spice.
The $4 meal is being made available at participating locations from Monday to Friday between 10am to 2pm.
The offer is not available through third-party food delivery apps such as DoorDash Uber Eats or GrubHub.
Krispy Krunchy, which has 2,800 locations across 47 US states, is known for using a Cajun marinade and custom breading.
It also cooks its chicken in small batches so it doesn’t sit for long and stays fresh.
‘Value is more important than ever in today’s economy, and that’s especially true for our operators’ guests,’ Krispy Krunchy CEO Jim Norberg said. ‘So as these guests demand more value, we’re finding a way to make it happen without compromising on quality.’
